WHAT IS GMAT?
A computer based test, GMAT Exam assesses an individual’s knowledge in English language with reference to his or her analytical, writing, verbal, and quantitative skills in the same which is considered as the bench mark for an admission into a graduate management program like MBA.
There are over 5400 programs being offered by 1500 universities in over 83 countries which recognize GMAT as a quaint essential examination in helping students to get admissions into MBA program in these universities.
FORMATS OF GMAT:
GMAT is conducted in a single format i.e. computer based.
There are four major modules in GMAT Exam which are : 1) GMAT Analytical writing assessment. 2) GMAT Integrated Reasoning. 3) GMAT Quantitative. 4) GMAT Verbal.
- Analytical writing assessment consists of 1 question wherein the candidate would need to do an analysis of an argument.
- In the Integrated reasoning Module there would be 12 questions to be attempted .It basically consists of topics such as Multi-source Reasoning, Graphics interpretation, Two-part analysis, and Table analysis.
- In the third Module in GMAT, quantitative, the questions posed would be from the topics like Data sufficiency, and Problem solving) and the number of questions asked in this part is thirty seven.
- In the Last Module which is verbal, there are totally 41 questions, which would be from the topics (Reading comprehension, Critical reasoning, and Sentence correction).
